For nearly four decades, one name has remained synonymous with discipline, structure, and steady leadership within the Aviary Club of Nigeria, Sir Abidemi Agbaje. BASc,MS,MBA, (Phd). At 62, with 44 years in the brotherhood, his journey is not merely one of titles held, but of impact delivered. From his early days as at 1982 in Yaba College of Technolog to serving as The Global president of the Aviary club of Nigeria, Agbaje’s story reflects dedication, resilience, and vision anchored in service.

Became a member in 1982 and graduating in 1988, Agbaje quickly distinguished himself in leadership roles within the Aviary club of Nigeria. He served as:
Chief of Entertainment (1986/87)
Chapter President. (1987/88)
Those formative years shaped his philosophy, leadership must be disciplined, inclusive, and forward-thinking. The culture of responsibility and teamwork he embraced as a flying Avian would later define his style at Regional and global levels.

In 2016, Agbaje assumed office as Regional President of North America. What followed was a period many describe as one of growth, stability, and relative peace.
At inception, North America had a single Aviary. Within three years:
The province expanded to four Aviaries
Membership increased significantly
The Club extended into South America with the establishment of Amazonia Aviary in Brazil
Crisis situations were managed with maturity and diplomacy
While challenges arose, as they do in any organization made up of strong personalities and divergent perspectives. they were resolved through calm engagement and structured leadership. The result was consolidation rather than division.

In 2019, Abidemi Agbaje was unanimously elected As the Global President of the Aviary club of NiGERIA. His administration began during one of the most turbulent periods in the organization’s history.Within six months:
Three of the eighteen functional chapters exited the organization.
Questions arose that threatened the very foundations of unity.
Yet through collaboration with the Global Council , Executive Council, Regional Councils, and local chapters worldwide, his leadership restored:
Organizational stability
Functional harmony
Renewed confidence across governing organs
The storms did not define the administration. The recovery did. Under his stewardship, the Aviary Club achieved one of its most remarkable expansions. Today, the organization can boasts of 40 chapters worldwide, with additional prospects on the horizon.
Key milestones included:
The chartering of Akete Province and its three chapters: Capitol, Oloki, and Sport-City
New chapters established in:
Belgium
Lokoja, Nigeria
Cape Town & Pretoria, South Africa
Houston, Texas
Tema, Ghana
Kenya
Re-certification and rejuvenation of chapters in Italy, India, and Ghana

Provisional approval for an SADC Province overseeing Southern Africa
Remarkably, much of this growth occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when social, economic, and political activities were globally paralyzed. The administration’s ability to adapt through improved communication systems and digital engagement ensured that progress did not stall.

Growth was not measured solely by chapters chartered. Across the globe, chapters launched programs focused on:
Member welfare and personal development
Community outreach initiatives
Support for the underprivileged
Projects reflecting the core aims of the founding fathers
The administration also began revamping the Club’s information infrastructure, ensuring better communication among members and projecting a positive global image consistent with the Club’s values.
