Today, on 15th January 2026, we pause with deep respect and gratitude to observe Armed Forces Remembrance Day; a solemn occasion to honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the brave men and women who serve and have served in the Nigeria Armed Forces.
On this day, The Aviary Club of Nigeria stands in unity with the entire nation to salute the heroes in uniform, those who have faced danger with resolve, protected our sovereignty, and upheld peace at great personal cost.
We remember the fallen, whose ultimate sacrifice has secured the freedoms we often take for granted. We also recognize the living, our veterans and active service members whose resilience and dedication continue to inspire a generation.
Their strength is the foundation of our national security. Their commitment is a beacon of patriotism. And their stories are woven into the very fabric of our nation’s history.
To every soldier, sailor, and airman, past and present: Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for standing guard so that we may live in peace.
As a club who cherish security and freedom, we are especially reminded of the courage of the Nigerian Air Force and all service members who rise to defend our nation’s horizons. May their wings of valor forever soar high in our hearts.
