Reflecting on the project the Media Department of the Aviary Club of Nigeria embarked on, it has helped to visualise a future that a lot of our members may find hard to see.
A lot of our members just seem to care less. How do you claim to be a member of an organisation and aren't ready to commit resources to it? But you prefer to shout 'rugged' that doesn't translate to any form of action from you.
It's not a coincidence that our life journey took us through this organisation while in school, in whichever name it was then. Today, it's rebranded to fit into our new reality in the world outside of school.
So anyone who can't see the journey from school days to the future we wish to build for the Aviary Club of Nigeria is not a true Avian.
The term “RUGGED” has been widely misunderstood. In today’s context, being rugged is not about empty bravado or misplaced aggression. It stands for Responsibility, Excellence, Brilliance, Greatness, Going above and beyond. It does not stand for destructive or unethical behavior.
The Aviary Club of Nigeria has always stood, and must continue to stand for excellence in all its forms. That is the standard we must uphold, individually and collectively. The path forward is clear. We must stay focused, committed, and intentional.
