A Decade of Resilience, Brotherhood, and Legacy!

October 24th, 2025, marks a momentous day in the history of Madiba Aviary a proud celebration of 10 years of existence, growth, and unwavering unity. From humble beginnings to becoming a symbol of strength and brotherhood within the avian community, the journey of Madiba Aviary is one that inspires admiration and gratitude.

A Journey Rooted in Vision and Faith

The story of Madiba Aviary South Africa is a testament to vision, perseverance, and divine grace. Its foundation can be traced back to the formation of an 11-man committee, constituted under the leadership of the then Ex-Supreme Eagle of the ACN, Avian Best-Man Eze Jumbo, acting under the instruction and direction of the Ex-Global President Chief, Ali Bay.

This committee was chaired by Sir Yellow-Man, with Dr. Olumide Fafore serving as the secretary. Other notable members included Keke Oduma, Ayodele Adewunmi, Tigana, Beluchi, Chief Ifeanyi Onogwu, Black Jesus, Akin Martins, and Fred (now based in the USA). Together, these pioneers laid the groundwork for what would later become the prestigious Madiba Aviary.

Trials, Triumphs, and the Spirit of Brotherhood

Like every great endeavor, the formation of Madiba was not without its challenges. During its early stages, the late Vicabu, World President Baoba, visited South Africa to lend his support to the founding process. Sadly, he passed away during this mission a tragic event that temporarily delayed the official chartering of the aviary.

Yet, despite this setback, the spirit of the brotherhood remained strong. A historic event took place at Mack-Angelus Hotel, Sandton, South Africa, where Keke Oduma was selected as the Pioneer President (GI) prior to the Conclave.

Olaniyi, “The Voice,” assumed the role of Vice President (GOS), while Ayodele Adewunmi took on the position of the Chief Operation Officer (GFC), among other key appointments.

The official chartering of Madiba Aviary eventually took place at CHOPS Restaurant and Night Club in Midrand owned by Best-Man Eze Jumbo who was based in South Africa at the time. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Kehinde Ojomo, who arrived from Nigeria to celebrate this milestone, and Engr. Odun Ayo Ibitoye, whose contributions were instrumental from the inception.

Honoring the Pillars and Elders

As Madiba Aviary marks its 10th anniversary, heartfelt appreciation goes to the founding members, elders, and pioneers whose sacrifices, guidance, and resilience sustained the aviary through the years.

We remember with deep respect those who stood firm and declared “Madiba must be!” from Sir Bayo Ali to Hamilton, Engr. David Olukoga, Sir Bidemi Agbaje, Sir Odia, and the elders like Late Baba Marto, Sir Bimbo, Late Sir Ayo Fasanya, and Late Tope Dada.

We acknowledge the leadership transitions from Baba Chris to Seyi Olusa to Akete under Demiji Okito to Dr. Smith each contributing uniquely to the growth of the aviary.

We also celebrate Siyanbola Abiodun, Engr. Ibitoye, Meriman Araba, and Chief Bestman, whose business venue served as the first home of Madiba Aviary. Gratitude also goes to Kenny Ojomo, Talopa Chief, Akeem Anisere, Ololo, Elder Isaac, Jaga Mazonia, Kupaino, Kennedy and all others who played pivotal roles during the early days.

Special recognition goes to Keke Oduma, Sir Sauxy Joe, and Galaxy, whose tireless efforts helped the aviary navigate through challenging times. And to Elder Bidemi, whose belief in Madiba never wavered your legacy of faith continues to inspire.

Looking Ahead: The Next Chapter

Ten years on, Madiba Aviary stands tall as a beacon of unity, brotherhood, and perseverance. The support of Sir Odia, the current Supreme Council, and the collective dedication of every member have ensured that the dream lives on.

As we look forward to the next decade, the vision remains clear to strengthen our bonds, expand our reach, and preserve the proud legacy of Madiba Aviary for generations to come.

Indeed, the next 10 years will be greater.

Long Live Madiba Aviary!
