Today, the Aviary Club of Nigeria proudly celebrates one of its distinguished members, Avian Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi, as he marks another glorious year of life. We join his family, friends, professional associates, and Avians across the globe in celebrating a man whose life exemplifies hard work, leadership, integrity, and service.
Avian Taiwo Afolabi began his academic journey at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, where he studied Accountancy and earned his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) between 1992 and 1994. In pursuit of broader international exposure, he spent the years 1995 to 1998 in Germany and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria to complete his higher education. He subsequently obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology.
His passion for leadership became evident in 2000, when he was elected as one of the leaders, where he demonstrated exceptional vision and dedication. In 2001, he established his own communications company in Surulere, Lagos, which quickly earned a reputation as one of the leading firms in the state.
Throughout his professional career in Nigeria, Avian Taiwo worked with several reputable organizations, culminating in a successful tenure with Nigerian Breweries Plc, where he distinguished himself as one of the company's top sales executives.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a devoted family man, a responsible husband, happily married and blessed with wonderful children. In 2017, he relocated to the United States of America with his family, where he continued to pursue excellence in his chosen profession. Determined to expand his expertise, he obtained additional qualifications in accounting, establishing himself as a highly respected Accounts Payable Specialist, with a level of professional competence comparable to that of a renowned auditor.
Today, he serves as a Branch Manager with one of America's leading pharmaceutical and grocery retail stores in Dallas, Texas, where his commitment to excellence, leadership, and professionalism continues to earn admiration.
Within the Aviary Club of Nigeria, Avian Taiwo Afolabi is a proud and active member of Lone Star Aviary, a vibrant chapter of the Club in the North America Region. He currently serves as the Sole Coordinator of the Senior Elders Committee of Lone Star Aviary, where he provides wise counsel, guidance, and unwavering support to members.
Known for his calm disposition, caring heart, loyalty, humility, and generosity, Avian Taiwo Afolabi is a true philanthropist whose impact extends beyond the Club into the wider community. His life is a shining example of perseverance, servant leadership, and dedication to humanity.
