Water Is Life: Sport City Aviary’s Borehole Project Leaves Lasting Legacy in Surulere
The Aviary Club of Nigeria continues to demonstrate that the strength of a fraternity is reflected not only in the bonds shared among its members, but also in the positive impact it creates within society.
In a significant expression of humanitarian service and community responsibility, the Sport City Aviary, a chapter of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, provided a borehole water facility to the Small London Community in Surulere, Lagos, on 11 April 2021.
The initiative addressed one of the most fundamental needs of any community, access to water, while reinforcing the Club’s longstanding philosophy of giving back to society through practical and sustainable interventions.
For the residents of Small London, the project represented more than the installation of a water facility. It was a demonstration of compassion, solidarity and the willingness of members of the fraternity to identify with the needs of the people and respond with meaningful action.
