Today, the Aviary Club of Nigeria shines the spotlight on one of its distinguished regional leaders, Avian Abayomi Ademola Lawal, an accomplished System Engineer, Security Network Expert and President of the Akete Provincial Council.
A cerebral and pragmatic leader, Avian Abayomi Lawal has distinguished himself through years of dedicated service, relationship building, community impact and commitment to the growth of the Aviary Club of Nigeria.
PROFILE: A PROFESSIONAL AND DEDICATED LEADER
A graduate of Computer Science from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Avian Abayomi Lawal has built a professional career in system engineering and security networking, while simultaneously developing a remarkable leadership journey within Aviary Club of Nigeria.
As President of the Akete Provincial Council, he has demonstrated a leadership philosophy centred on inclusion, brotherhood and collective progress. His approach places strong emphasis on quality relationships, ensuring that members remain connected, valued and actively involved in the affairs and development of the fraternity.
A former President of Capitol Aviary, his leadership journey reflects a consistent commitment to teamwork, responsibility and service.
THE JOURNEY: FROM MEMBER TO REGIONAL LEADER
Avian Abayomi Lawal’s journey in the Aviary Club of Nigeria began in 2008, when he became a member under the visionary leadership of President Razaq Arije of Akete Aviary.
What began as a decision to join the fraternity evolved into a lifelong commitment to service, brotherhood and the ideals of the Aviary Club of Nigeria.
His growth within the Club was marked by increasing responsibilities. He was constituted as the Chapter Security Officer of Akete Aviary under the leadership of President Dimeji Oguntoyinbo.
Through dedication, loyalty and consistent service, he was subsequently entrusted with the responsibility of serving as Chapter Disciplinary Officer under the leadership of President Avian Kugbe.
With the establishment of the Akete Province, another significant chapter opened in his leadership journey.
He was honoured to serve as the pioneer President of Capitol Aviary, where he contributed to the growth, structure and development of the newly established province.
His years of service and the confidence reposed in him by Avians across the region eventually led to his emergence as President of the Akete Provincial Council.
His journey stands as a reminder that leadership is not defined merely by the positions one occupies, but by the integrity, sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and positive influence demonstrated along the way.
LEADERSHIP THAT CREATES IMPACT
Beyond administrative responsibilities, Avian Abayomi Lawal has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development and humanitarian service.
His passion for community service has contributed to initiatives involving orphanages and schools, reflecting the fraternity’s broader commitment to making meaningful contributions to society.
His efforts towards strengthening the presence and impact of Aviary Club of Nigeria within communities across Akete also contributed to the creation of Aviary House at Ifesowapo Primary School, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos State.
He has equally overseen and supported community projects through various Grande Councils across the region, further demonstrating the importance he places on translating fraternity values into tangible community impact.
EXPANDING THE AVIARY FOOTPRINT
One of the notable aspects of his leadership has been his contribution to the expansion of the Aviary Club of Nigeria within the Akete region.
Through his efforts, he facilitated the creation of Iganmode Aviary, Lagoon Palms Aviary and Marto Aviary, contributing to the expansion of the regional structure and bringing the total number of Aviaries under the Akete Region to seven(7).
This expansion represents more than numbers. It reflects the continuous spread of the ideals of brotherhood, connection, service and collective development that define the Aviary Club of Nigeria.
A MESSAGE OF SERVICE AND LEGACY
During an interview commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, Avian Abayomi Lawal reflected on his journey and the people who contributed to his development.
In his words “I remain grateful for every mentor, every brother, and every opportunity that has shaped my journey. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone in the history of our beloved Aviary Club of Nigeria, I renew my pledge to continue serving with humility, honour, and excellence.”
He further emphasised the importance of preserving the Club’s traditions, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and inspiring future generations to uphold the values that have sustained the fraternity for three decades.
A LEGACY STILL IN MOTION
From his early days as a member in 2008 to his present responsibility as President of the Akete Provincial Council, Avian Abayomi Ademola Lawal’s story is one of growth through service.
His journey illustrates how dedication can transform membership into responsibility, responsibility into leadership, and leadership into lasting impact.
