Aso Aviary Marks 17th Anniversary with Medical Outreach at ECWA Medical Centre, Karu, Abuja.

In a demonstration of compassion, service, and community impact, Aso Aviary, under the Arewa Region of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, commemorated its 17th Anniversary with a humanitarian medical outreach at the Maternity Section of ECWA Medical Centre, Karu, Abuja.
The outreach also formed part of activities marking the 30th Anniversary of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, underscoring the Club’s enduring legacy of brotherhood and service to humanity.
The outreach focused on supporting nursing mothers and improving the welfare of patients within the maternity ward.
Essential baby items, cleaning materials, and other welfare supplies were donated to the hospital, while members of Aso Aviary and visiting Avians also shared moments of fellowship through internal presentations and gift exchanges.
The Aviary delegation was warmly received by Mr. Stephen, who represented the Chaplain of ECWA Medical Centre.
Leading the delegation was the Arewa Regional President, Avian. Esv. Afiz Ahmed, accompanied by the chapter president of Aso Aviary, Mr. Babajide Sokunle, the Chapter President of Confluence Aviary, Mr. Tope Abiodun, members of the Grande Council, and several distinguished Avians from across the Region.
Speaking during the outreach, Esv. Afiz Ahmed highlighted the humanitarian philosophy that has defined the Aviary Club of Nigeria for three decades.
He explained that Aviary Club of Nigeria is a non-governmental, non-political organization with a global presence spanning 46 Chapters, dedicated to fostering brotherhood while making meaningful contributions to communities through charitable initiatives and humanitarian interventions.
In his address, the Grande Inspector of Aso Aviary, Mr. Babajide Sokunle, explained the significance of choosing the maternity section for the outreach.
“The choice of the maternity ward was intentional. The Aviary Club of Nigeria was birthed thirty years ago, and every day, new lives are brought into the world through this maternity centre. As we celebrate 30 years of ACN and 17 years of Aso Aviary, it is only fitting that we identify with the place where life begins, offering support to mothers and newborns while giving back to society.”
His remarks reflected the Club’s belief that every milestone should be celebrated through acts of service capable of leaving lasting impacts on the lives of others.
On behalf of the hospital management, the Chaplain, through his representative, expressed profound appreciation to the Aviary Club of Nigeria for the thoughtful gesture.
He commended the Club’s commitment to humanitarian service and offered prayers for continued unity, long life, greater accomplishments, and enduring prosperity for the organization and all its members.
The medical outreach once again demonstrated that beyond its ideals of brotherhood, the Aviary Club of Nigeria remains steadfast in its mission of positively transforming lives through selfless service.
As the Club marks three decades of excellence and Aso Aviary celebrates seventeen years of purposeful existence, the outreach stands as another testament to the enduring values of compassion, leadership, and community development that continue to define the organization.
