The meeting was held through the Club’s Public Relations Department and was represented by Avian Oluata Oluwasegun, who stood in on behalf of the Global Public Relations Officer of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, Avian Tosin. During the engagement, the Aviary Club presented its vision of community-driven security, emphasizing proactive awareness, timely information sharing, and cooperation between citizens and law enforcement agencies. Following productive deliberations, the exercise is scheduled to commence within the next 14 days, marking the official start of the Lagos phase of the program.

The Aviary Club of Nigeria is using this opportunity to remind members of the public that security is a collective responsibility. Citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and to speak up whenever suspicious activities are observed. In line with this, the Lagos State Police Command has provided the following emergency contact lines for immediate reporting:

07061019374
08065154338
08063299264
08039344870
09168630929

In the coming weeks, the awareness campaign will be further amplified through branded transportation vehiclesmoving across the Lagos metroplex, serving as mobile platforms for security messaging. Plans are also underway for an awareness walk, aimed at engaging residents directly and reinforcing the message of shared responsibility as the branded buses continue to cut across the city.

The Aviary Club of Nigeria calls on all Nigerians to join hands with the government and security agencies in the fight against cultism, banditry, kidnapping, and all forms of violence. Through awareness, unity, and timely action, safer communities can be built and sustained.

As this initiative unfolds, the Aviary Club of Nigeria remains committed to promoting peace, vigilance, and civic responsibility, one community at a time.
