With deep sorrow yet profound respect, the Edo Aviary of the Aviary Club of Nigeria records the successful conduct of the funeral rites of our dearly departed brother, Late Avian Hon. Evans Agbowonagbe.
The funeral ceremony commenced in the early hours of the day, beginning with the dignified movement of the remains from the morgue. This solemn procession was graced by Avians from across Benin City, who turned out in unity and brotherhood to honour one of our own. The journey continued to the Service of Songs, where heartfelt tributes, prayers, and reflections celebrated a life of impact, dedication, and unwavering service.
Despite the heavy rainfall that persisted throughout the proceedings, Avians stood firm and resolute. The show of love, loyalty, and sacrifice demonstrated by members was not only remarkable but also a true testament to the spirit of the Aviary fraternity. It is indeed an act worthy of emulation by Avians across the globe.
The final earthly commitment was conducted with honour and reverence, as we bid farewell to a brother whose legacy will continue to resonate within our ranks.
Late Avian Hon. Evans Agbowonagbe served the Aviary world with distinction and commitment. His journey of service saw him rise through key leadership roles within the Edo Aviary. He served dutifully as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), later as Secretary, and ultimately as Vice President of Edo Aviary. In every capacity, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, humility, and an unrelenting passion for the growth and unity of the Aviary Club.
His contributions to the fraternity remain indelible, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
As a brother, leader, and committed Avian, he lived a life of purpose and service, values that define the very essence of our noble organization.
We pray that the Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and comforts his family, loved ones, and the entire Aviary community in this moment of grief.
