EDO SOUTH AVIARY COMMENCE ONE WEEK OF GIVING BACK TO THE SOCIETY

The Edo South Chapter of the Aviary Club of Nigeria has commenced a remarkable One Week of Giving Back to Society, in preparation for the Club’s 30th Anniversary celebration.
This initiative reflects the organization’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service, brotherhood, and community impact.
Throughout the week, the Chapter will be demonstrating the core values of the Aviary club through a series of impactful outreach activities aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society and reinforcing its service-oriented mission.
Opening Day: Humanitarian Outreach
The programme commenced with a humanitarian visit to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), and Central Hospital in Benin city. The outreach was led by the Edo South Chapter Executive Council under the leadership of the Chapter President, Avian Uche Chukwuka.

During the visit, patients facing financial challenges were identified, and assistance was provided to settle outstanding hospital bills. The intervention covered the costs of nursing mothers who put to birth and other patients who were stranded due to inability to meet their medical expenses.


The gesture brought visible relief to beneficiaries, as joy and gratitude filled the hospital environment. Many families expressed appreciation for the timely support, which restored hope during difficult moment.


Commitment to Service
The initiative underscores the Edo South Chapter’s dedication to humanitarian service and community upliftment. It also reflects the broader mission of the Aviary Club of Nigeria to promote compassion, unity, and active contributions to societal well-being.

Day 2
The celebration continued with an engaging and spirited football match organized in honour of the chapter’s esteemed members. In alignment with the Aviary Club of Nigeria’s mental health awareness campaign, the match was designed to provide members with an avenue for relaxation, stress relief, and physical fitness through structured exercise and recreation.


The sporting event created a refreshing atmosphere that encouraged participation, teamwork, and mental well-being, reinforcing the club’s commitment to holistic health among its members. Beyond competition, the match served as a platform for social bonding and emotional rejuvenation.

At the conclusion of the game, the winning team was presented with a trophy and a cash prize in recognition of their outstanding performance, while the runners-up also received cash prizes as a token of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts.


The event was widely commended for fostering unity, friendship, and healthy competition within the chapter, further strengthening the spirit of camaraderie among members.
As the One Week of Giving Back continues, the Chapter remains committed to extending its impact across various communities, strengthening its legacy of service ahead of the Club’s 30th anniversary celebration.
