  • Strengthening Media Standards in the Aviary Club of Nigeria

The image of an organization is shaped not only by its values but by how those values are seen, recorded, and remembered. As the Aviary Club of Nigeria continues to grow in visibility and influence, the need for clear, professional, and value-driven media representation across all levels of the club has become more important than ever. To this end, the ACN Media Department emphasizes the adoption of standardized media documentation practices that reflect the dignity, discipline, and moral standing of the Aviary. All Grande and Provincial Councils should be mandated to utilize standard, functional, and high-quality cameras and video equipment when documenting ACN events. Clear and professional photographs and videos are essential for official records, publicity, and historical archives. Proper equipment ensures that every captured moment accurately reflects the stature and seriousness of the organization. All recorded materials must project ACN as a disciplined, respectable, and morally upright organization. Images and videos should be properly framed, well-lit, and edited where necessary to meet acceptable organizational and media standards. Every visual output should reinforce the identity of ACN as a structured and principled body. All aviaries must ensure that banned substances, including but not limited to weed, drugs, or any illegal or illicit materials, do not appear in photographs or videos taken during ACN events. The presence of such elements, even unintentionally, severely undermines the reputation and moral standing of the organization and is wholly inconsistent with ACN values. Only morally acceptable conduct and responsible behavior should be captured and featured in any official or edited media content. Any content that portrays indecency, misconduct, or actions inconsistent with the core values of ACN must be excluded entirely. Media representation should always reflect integrity, discipline, and respect. The significance of standardizing media documentation practices cannot be overstated. It directly impacts: The public image and reputation of the Aviary Club of Nigeria The confidence of partners, stakeholders, and prospective members The accuracy and integrity of historical records and media archives The promotion of discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct across all councils Uniform media standards will enhance ACN’s visibility and credibility while fostering accountability and pride in how the organization is represented at every level. The ACN Media Department sincerely believes that the approval and enforcement of these standards by the Supreme Council will greatly strengthen the image and future of the Aviary Club of Nigeria. We appreciate the continued leadership and commitment of the Supreme Council in upholding the values and standards of ACN and respectfully submit this directive for adoption. • Orílòmọ, Not Owó Lómọ By Brown Eredia

Orílòmọ , not Owó lómọ . In our tradition, Orílòmọ  speaks to destiny. It affirms that a man’s path is shaped by purpose, not possessions. Leadership, therefore, is not a reward of wealth or the result of ambition. It is a destined responsibility, placed on a man by calling, character, and commitment, not acquired through influence or material advantage. The Aviary was never built on the pursuit of personal gain or the hunger for power. It was founded on brotherhood, service, sacrifice, and the clear understanding that leadership is duty, not entitlement. A man does not lead simply because he desires to; he leads because the responsibility demands him. In recent times, the tussle for offices and titles has distracted us from this truth. When leadership is treated as a reward, unity begins to suffer. When power becomes the goal, tradition loses its meaning. Yet our tradition teaches otherwise. Leadership is not scarce in the Aviary. Every Avian carries responsibility. Leadership is revealed in conduct, loyalty, discipline, and service, not only in the occupation of an office. The founders of the Aviary Club of Nigeria understood this clearly. They envisioned a community where men lead by example, where influence is earned through character, and where positions exist solely as tools for service. Offices were created to organize the house, not to divide it. Titles were meant to strengthen brotherhood, not inflate egos. To return to tradition is to return to this understanding. It is to accept leadership as destiny, not competition. It is to choose peace over rivalry, duty over ambition, and collective progress over personal interest. It is to remember that today’s follower may be tomorrow’s leader, and that every leader remains, first and always, a servant to all. When we embrace Orílòmọ  instead of Owó lómọ , the Aviary grows stronger. Brotherhood deepens. Trust is restored. Our focus returns to building men of value, supporting one another across generations and borders, and preserving the integrity of the house we all belong to. The future of the Aviary Club of Nigeria does not depend on who holds power, but on how faithfully we honour destiny and uphold our values. Let us end the tussle. Let us return to tradition. Let us remember that in the Aviary, leadership lives in every Avian.

  • Avians Do Not Need Louder Voices,We Need Wiser Minds

we pause to reflect on the journey of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, a road marked by sacrifice, brotherhood, lessons, and steady growth. We have come far, and where we stand today deserves acknowledgment. Yet, it is not a place to settle. Progress must never breed complacency. The strength of the Aviary has never rested in noise or numbers alone. It has always lived in clarity of purpose, discipline of thought, and depth of values. Our future will not be shaped by who speaks the loudest, but by who thinks the deepest, acts the wisest, and serves the collective above self. The year ahead calls for reflection before reaction. For wisdom before influence. For structure before speed. We must raise Avians who understand that leadership is responsibility, not entitlement. That brotherhood is service, not convenience. That legacy is not announced, it is built quietly through consistency, integrity, and time, not through fleeting moments of excitement. There is a better place than where we are now. Reaching it demands growth in mindset, maturity in conduct, and unity in vision. It requires open eyes and open minds to guide our decisions. What binds us as Avians must remain stronger than titles, regions, or generations. As a club, the choice before us is clear: wisdom over ego, purpose over pride, and progress over comfort. a year to think better, a year to build wiser, a year to move the Aviary forward, together. • Aviary Club of Nigeria’s Gold Coast Aviary Champions Free National Health Insurance Registration in Ghana

NHIS Registration Officer The Gold Coast Aviary (GCA) of the Aviary Club of Nigeria has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility through the successful organization and implementation of a Free National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Registration Exercise in Accra, Ghana. This laudable initiative was fully sponsored, coordinated, and executed by members of the Gold Coast Aviary Chapter, reflecting the core mission of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, service to humanity, community development, and the promotion of collective well-being beyond borders. Registration process, Fingerprint registration. A Mission Rooted in Compassion and Service The Free NHIS registration exercise was strategically designed to provide cost-free access to national health insurance for members of the public, with special focus on financially disadvantaged individuals and families who are often unable to afford the cost of registration. Recognizing that health is a fundamental human right, the Aviary Club of Nigeria, through its Gold Coast Aviary, took deliberate action to remove financial barriers preventing vulnerable populations from accessing essential medical services. Through this exercise, beneficiaries were enrolled into the National Health Insurance Scheme at no cost, ensuring they can now seek medical attention when needed without fear of financial hardship. Purpose and Importance of the Initiative The Free NHIS registration exercise was driven by a clear purpose: to bridge the healthcare access gap and improve the quality of life for underserved communities. By facilitating free health insurance registration, the initiative: • Addressed healthcare inequality • Promoted preventive and early medical care • Increased public awareness on the importance of health insurance • Strengthened trust between community members and service-oriented organizations This intervention stands as a proactive response to one of society’s most pressing needs, accessible healthcare for all. Ghanaians waiting to be registered What the Scheme Stands For The initiative stands as a powerful statement of compassion, inclusion, and collective responsibility, reinforcing the values of the Aviary Club of Nigeria. It reflects the shared belief that: • Every life matters • Healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of economic status • Community support and unity can drive meaningful and lasting social change More than a registration exercise, the scheme symbolizes hope, care, and solidarity with the people of Ghana. Impact on the Public The program directly benefited numerous individuals who would otherwise remain excluded from health insurance coverage. Many beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude, acknowledging that the initiative came at a critical time when healthcare access was urgently needed. The impact of the exercise includes: • Improved access to medical services • Reduced financial burden on low-income families • Greater community engagement and trust • Enhanced public understanding of healthcare rights Gold Coast Avians Showcasing the Aviary Club of Nigeria on the Global Stage Through this initiative, the Aviary Club of Nigeria, via its Gold Coast Aviary Chapter, continues to project its values beyond national boundaries, positioning the Club as a pan-African humanitarian organization committed to people-centered development.
